Message from Ethnic Bridge’s Founder
About two hours from my home is the world’s highest suspension bridge: the Royal Gorge Bridge. It soars 1053 feet above the Arkansas River near Canon City, Colorado. See it once, and you’ll never forget it.
Bridges like the Royal Gorge inspire admiration and awe, but in truth all bridges accomplish the amazing feat of helping us overcome divides. The reasons for spanning divides are many: the extension of rail or road; military conquest; commerce; tourism; easing congestion; trade; and even convenience. Whatever the benefit that is on the other side, people since antiquity have been willing to spend the time and effort needed to build a bridge.
Ethnic Bridge applies this ancient formula to today’s needs. When cultural chasms are spanned, everyone benefits. Our mission statement is clear: Ethnic Bridge is a bridge-building organization that endeavors to join groups of people divided by culture, ethnicity or language.
